Rap mogul SEAN COMBS kept the costs down as he flew to France for his first Cannes International Film Festival in France - because he wanted to prove he doesn't need his entourage with him at all times.
The hitmaker-turned-actor was hoping his festival appearance would help him land a leading film role and so he wanted his arrival to be a serious, low-key affair.
Combs admits he shunned private jets and took a commercial flight from the U.S. and sat for much of the journey with a blanket on his head, so fellow passengers wouldn't recognise him.
As for the reason behind his low-key trip, Combs says, "As an actor, a lot of directors and producers they don't want to deal with my entourage so I'm flying by myself.
"I'm a movie star in the making."
But he wasn't living down for long - upon his arrival in Cannes, France, Diddy and his European stylists took over a massive luxury yacht, which was anchored just offshore.
